What happens if I exceed my click limits?
SUMMARY
- Redirects still reach the destination but require two clicks.
- All other limits have zero tolerance for usage over the latter.
- Expired accounts exclude editing and creating new links.
When you hit redirect limits or if an account expires—after the free trial or an expired subscription—you can still click links, but they won't take visitors directly to the destination URL. Why? The redirect stops at an interstitial page, requiring a second click to reach the final destination.
In other words, if a particular link exceeds the plan's daily click limit - any visitors over that limit will see an interstitial page. Unfortunately, many don't click again to advance to the desired page.
Individual plans specify the maximum number of clicks per day for any single link, as well as URL and API limits.
- All limits, except for redirects, are hard limits, strictly enforced.
- Redirects, albeit with interstitials, continue to function even if subscribers exceed other limits.
- Note: Expired accounts cannot edit links or create new ones.
